1. Registration Deadlines in Neptun
- Registration Period: First two weeks of the semester. (see academic calendar here: https://mek.unideb.hu/en/academic-calendar)
During this time, students must select either active or passive status in Neptun.
Registration period is announced by email – ususally 1-2 weeks before the start of the semester. - Late Registration:
After the deadline, subject registration or deregistration is only possible with:- A Late Subject Registration form: Available here
- A payment in Neptun https://ieas.unideb.hu/sites/default/files/upload_documents/paying_via_neptun-1_2021-08-02.pdf.pdf
- Late registration: 1,500 Ft / subject
- Late deregistration: 3,000 Ft / subject
Submit the form and proof of payment to Mariett Papp (papp.mariett@agr.unideb.hu) by the end of the 3rd week of the semester.
After this, changes are no longer possible.

2. Course Registration Process in Neptun
Step 1: Register for the Semester
- Go to: Administration → Enrollment/Registration
- Select the semester and choose status: Active or Passive
- Registration is mandatory even if you choose passive status.
- If you have unpaid items in Neptun, you will be blocked from registration.
Step 2: Register for Subjects
- Go to: Subjects → Register for subjects
- Use the drop-down menu on the right to select your curriculum.
- Register for both lecture and practice/seminar, if applicable.
- Always read the Note and Description fields for important course information.
- If your timetable is empty, check class time and location under:
Subjects → Registered Subjects → Click on Subject Name
Exam Course Registration
- Contact the course instructor or the department directly.
- Exam courses have no classes and are only for students who received the signature but not a grade.

4. Optional (Elective) Courses
Optional courses must be completed during your Bachelor’s or Master’s program. They can be taken in any semester when offered.

5. Credit Transfer Requests
- Submit the Credit Transfer Request Form (electronically).
- Include course codes/titles from your program’s curriculum, transcript of records, and course descriptions.
- Deadlines:
- Autumn: 20th September
- Spring: 20th February
Students may transfer up to 60% of total credits. At least 40% of credits must be earned at the University of Debrecen.
6. Physical Education (PE)
PE is compulsory for graduation:
- BSc students: 2 semesters
- MSc students: 1 semester
- Subject code: SI-003
