Applicants: current and former Hungarian and foreign students and employees of the University of Debrecen's Faculty of Agriculture, Food Sciences and Environmental Management
Photos accepted for the competition: photos taken by the applicant on the theme of agriculture.
Deadline for submissions: February 25, 2026
Competition conditions:
- Applicants may only submit their own work.*
- Each applicant may submit a maximum of 5 photos.
- Portrait photos are not eligible for submission.
- The photo file must be at least 5 MB in size.
- Photos generated by artificial intelligence will be automatically rejected.
- Group applications are not possible.
How to submit your application: Please send your photos electronically, in high quality, in a resolution suitable for color printing, by email to Eszter Fogarasi at fogarasi.eszter@agr.unideb.hu
Please include the following information in the email (which will be published alongside the selected photo):
- the applicant's name:
- the applicant's field of study:
- the applicant's year of study/year of graduation:
- the title of the photo (if multiple photos are submitted, the title of each photo submitted; max. one sentence):
- the location where the photo was taken (country, town, geographical name, etc.):
Evaluation of applications:
- The photos received will be evaluated by a judging committee, and the best photos will be selected for exhibition.
- The audience award will be given to the entrant who submitted the photo that received the most votes.
Electronic audience voting will be announced on the official faculty Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/DEMEK.fb).
Location and time of the photo exhibition: The selected entries will be on display in the glass corridor of Building B at the University of Debrecen from March 7, 2026.
*Rights of use for submitted photos:
- A condition of submitting an application is that the applicant has taken the photo submitted for the competition themselves and has full rights of use for it. Therefore, by submitting an application, the applicant assumes sole responsibility.
- The applicant undertakes that the submitted photo does not infringe the rights of third parties and that no third party has any rights that would prevent or in any way restrict the acquisition of rights to the submitted works by the competition organizer.
- The applicant agrees that the organizer of the competition may use the submitted photo freely, without territorial restrictions, for an indefinite period of time, without any obligation to pay a fee, in particular:

- The applicant agrees that the organizer may exhibit the photo to the public, use it for marketing purposes, and display it on its website, indicating the applicant's name, faculty, major, year of study, and the name of the country, city, and institution, as well as the title of the photo.
- Change the title of the photo in consultation with the applicant.

- The applicant assumes responsibility for obtaining the permission of any persons appearing in their work to have their image used, in accordance with Section 2:48 (1) of Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code.
- The applicant acknowledges that they bear full responsibility for any violations of personal rights and copyrights caused by the creation or public display (exhibition) of the submitted photo, including financial liability for such violations. By submitting the photo, the applicant student accepts the terms and conditions of the competition.
