COST-GBike (CA18134) 2019-2022 (Genomic BIodiversity Knowledge for Resilient Ecosystems)

The effects of climatic change taking place in our time are well-known. Human intervention has become essential for the survival of a number of species. In spite of the availability of an enormous amount of genetic data about the majority of organisms, the protocols serving the detection and observation of the genetic diversity of species have not been standardized. G-BIKE provides help for researchers and practical experts in the EU and especially in COST target countries to integrate genetic and evolutionary knowledge into the environmental protection policies of the individual countries, and to support cross-border management and long-term programs for monitoring evolutionary potential.
