UD Institute of Water and Environmental Management currently deals with water management mainly in agricultural higher education. The Institute began coordinating the teaching of water management subjects. In addition, the environmental management and environmental protection engineer postgradual education were established by many national and international (TEMPUS, LEONARDO) educational projects. The education is concentrated in three main specialties: environmental technology, environmental informatics and environmental management. Specialized training within specific knowledge is acquired, which prepares our students suitable for the field assessments, reviews, technical management activities, specialization, corporate environmental responsibility of planning and research tasks.
The high quality, interdisciplinary educational basis is the education-research background of the University of Debrecen, including the Institute of Nuclear Research of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Institute for Soil Sciences and Agricultural Chemistry, Centre for Agricultural Research, Hungarian Academy Of Sciences.
